This week, historians Kevin Doyle and Karen Rinaldo will be talking about the 400-year anniversary of the arrival of the Mayflower. We’ll get a look at the Mayflower’s Shallop currently at Lowell’s Boat Shop for repairs, and learn why and how the Pilgrims brought a shallop with them, how they used it in exploring the coast on their way to Plymouth, and its role in the First Encounter with the Wampanoags.
